√ Če svežega ne porabimo takoj, ga lahko zamrznemo v ledene kocke ali shranimo v vrečke. Ni primeren za sušenje, saj bo izgubil večino zdravilnih učinkovin in aromo.
Drobnjak izboljša marsikatero povprečno jed. Potresemo ga po juhi, solati, piščancu, krompirju, kuhani zelenjavi in jajčnih jedeh. Če ga primešamo v maslo, je primeren dodatek k mesu na žaru in k ribam. Uporabimo ga lahko tudi v hamburgerjih namesto čebule, saj ima milejši okus. Lahko ga primešamo v topljeni sir, jogurtove napitke ali dodamo k pečenemu krompirčku. Dodajamo ga ob koncu kuhanja.
